Fixed gear conversion hub problem? - fixed gear hub

The conversion of an old Univega road bike into a single speed bike, but managed IVE a problem with the rear axle. I could not remove all the old equipment from the old band, so that the band was looted. I still have braces, but I'm not sure. Can I run a single speed freewheel, and as I have already installed or buy freewheel hub for installation? I'll also need a red wheel that fits around the frame?
